Things to do in Steyning in February include a free Stargazing South Downs event.  This takes place within walking distance of Rosebud Holiday Cottage.

This event is free and you don’t need to book.

The South Downs National Park is one of the best places in the UK to enjoy the sight of constellations, planets and distant galaxies. It was designated an International Dark Sky Reserve in 2016.

Chichester Planetarium

To learn more about the night sky, you could visit the Planetarium in Chichester.

The South Downs Planetarium 100 seater auditorium provides an opportunity to view 4,500 stars, along with planets, the sun and the moon. These are projected onto a 10.8 metre dome.

An astronomer will be there and provide you with an expert commentary.

Relax and explore the past, present and future of the universe and the magic of the night sky, in warmth & comfort!
