This quality early Victorian holiday cottage, has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 3, providing a comfortable, cosy home.
It’s in an ideal position within a few minutes walk from independent shops and cafes. Just a stone’s throw from footpaths too, leading into the South Downs, so is perfect for walkers.
The Sitting Room
This is a great place to relax: It’s especially light and bright.
Sit back and watch TV or use the Blu Ray Player: This plays Blu Ray discs, DVDs and CDs and has catch up TV too. There’s also an excellent digital radio.
You’ll find local maps and interesting guides to help you make the most of your stay, together with a selection of board games, that you can play.
The Separate Kitchen
Well equipped (with a dishwasher hidden behind one of the cupboards). Ideal if you are a keen cook.
When you arrive the beds will be made up with freshly laundered bed linen. The main bedroom, (my favourite room), has an especially calm feel.
The second bedroom is a spacious single. A travel cot is also available for this room.
The Ground Floor Shower Room
This has a shower, wash basin, toilet and storage cupboards. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier which you can use.
It’s location, together with the fairly steep staircase (typical in an older cottage) means it not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
A favourite spot: Relax, sitting on the benches. At the back of the cottage, you will be able to hear the nearby mill stream!
Whatever time of year you stay, you will find plants in flower.
Bed Linen and Towels
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. You’ll also find many household items such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, cleaning sponges etc.
Offsite parking is possible.
One child or baby are welcome. There is a travel cot and a booster seat (which creates a high chair) available for an infant. Younger children need supervision outside.
No smoking or pets
The cottage is non smoking throughout.
Sorry, pets are not allowed but you might consider leaving your dog or cat locally Local kennels and Cattery
The cottage has central heating throughout and is warm and cosy in the winter. If you stay during the cooler months, you will find that the heating is already on when you arrive.
