Outstanding West Sussex Borde Hill Gardens
Borde Hill Gardens are open to the public from mid February until late December. Country Life magazine describes Borde Hill as: “One of the country’s truly great gardens.” The grounds cover over 200 acres across the gardens, woodland and parkland, with beautiful views over the Sussex Weald.

There are 17 acres of formal gardens, which are designed in a series of outdoor ‘rooms’: You can explore the traditional Rose Garden, the ‘Garden of Allah’, the beautiful Azalea Ring and a peaceful Italian Garden.

There are many lovely colour combinations in the planting. I like the Sidalcea and Campanula together.

Borde Hill has received many awards, including the Historic Houses Association ‘Garden of the Year’.
Magnolias in Bloom

From mid Feb to the end of March you can explore the Magnolia collection on a self guided trail. There are over 180 Magnolia species!
Sculpture Exhibitions

During the late spring and summer months there is always a lovely display of sculptures, when the garden is transformed into an outdoor gallery.
